The LAG Growing system

The Light Assisted Greenhouse or LAG system of growing, has been my passion project since first learning about autoflowers. This system incorporates the best of both worlds, bringing the amazing benefits of natural sunlight. Along with the precise control of a state of the art indoor setup, it has allowed us to really explore the maximum genetic potential of these plants. Using nature as our guide, we have dialed in, what we believe to be the optimum lighting schedule and DLI requirements to see the best phenotype expression from each plant we grow. With two functional LAG systems here at the farm we have the space to do larger than average pheno hunts, allowing us to select from hundreds at a time, to ensure we are bringing you the best.

After getting natural Colorado sunshine all day, the LAG “transforms” into a fully sealed and controllable “indoor” space. It is complete with the top of the line FOSHE lights, and co2 supplementation. Every dream bean that is made is made in the LAG system.

The main benefit we have seen for this is the speed in which our plants grow to maturity. For the customers that just means we can make seeds faster than just about anyone else. So once the exhaustive selection process is done, the final versions can all be brought to market in a much more timely manner.

Hunting & Selection

Our Process

Our selection process goes through a few steps. First being seed/seedling vigor, followed by morphology. With morphology we are looking for symmetry. 

Then we start to get into the internodal spacing, basically how well do the buds stack. Then it is on to the terp profiles, from sexing there are daily terpene checks. What we are looking for hear is going to be the most terps, which ones have the most terps present.

Using the open pollination method allows me to make the final selections based on final nug structure, trichome coverage (frostiness), and then the final cut is terpene % and profile.

Germination policy

All of our seeds go through a rigorous germination test before they are released. If those tests return anything less than 99% germination rate, we do not release them. However this is still nature, and sometimes things happen. If you do not get your bean to pop, let us know and we will do our best to replace it with one that does.

  • We use USPS First Class Shipping and all paid orders will be processed within 48 hours, generally most orders will go out the day of the order or the next business day.  PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ADDRESS!!!!   • While we do not offer a return policy, we are dedicated to happy customers. If you ever have an issue with any of our genetics, we WILL make it right.  Our goal is to establish autos as the premier strains in the industry, we want happy customers.  Our genetics go through rigorous germination testing, all of our seeds must germinate at higher than 99% before they are released for sale. When using the DB approved germination method, we guarantee your beans for germination!

  • My name is Derek and I am addicted to autos!
    I have been working with day neutral cannabis exclusively, for over a decade. To say they are my passion is an understatement of colossal proportions ?. I eat sleep and breathe autos, so much so that I left Texas almost the day recreational growing became legal in Colorado.
    I use a system of growing that I designed, created, tested and now use based on some extensive research into how to get the maximum genetic potential out of day neutral cannabis
    My system is as follows
    It is knows as the LAG(light assisted greenhouse) it is designed specifically to grow autos
    During the day it acts as a natural “greenhouse”. Where the south and east walls are clear polycarbonate panels. The rest of the walls and roof are solid. This allows the plants to get natural 9k ft elevation sunshine all day. Extensive fans and a geothermal venting system allows me to control the temps, humidity and cO2 supplementation.
    Then at night it “transforms” into a fully sealed and controlled “indoor” space, in which I run 3600 watts of FOHSE O6i’s on the DLI hub, and high cO2 supplementation.
    The results are incredible, consistently producing some of the finest cannabis in the country. This allows us here at the Dream Farm, to do larger than average pheno hunts, and truly see the best these plants have to offer.

  • All Dream Beans strains are stress tested in the LAG system to be very easy to grow!
